What happens when the item I want is not in stock? No worries. We will order it from the manufacturer and send it to you in a short time. In-stock items may be shipped before the back-ordered items are. We will always let you know so you can choose how you would like them sent to you. If an order is split within the same color, we will always ask about what dye lot will be coming in so that you can be sure to get the same dye lot! If it is a different dye lot we will ship all new skeins when they come in.
Generally we will get the back-ordered items in 3 to 8 days and ship it to you right away. Some companies have longer wait times, however, due to being hand-dyed:

Can I order colors that you don't have in stock? YES! If there is a yarn color available that you do not see in the store, contact us and we'll order it for you!

How close are the images to the true color of the yarn? Color is one of the most important decisions we make when purchasing yarn. We at Artisan Yarns understand the importance of this, and we take great care in providing high quality images with colors that are as close to true as possible. Usually we use natural sunlight on a white backdrop, so the colors can be as vibrant as possible. Keep in mind, however, that each computer screen has different settings, so the colors you see may be a little bit different than the actual color. And remember, if you are unhappy with your yarn purchase we do have an excellent return policy!

When are you open? Because we are an online yarn shop, you can shop 24/7! Emails are usually answered between 8am and 2pm, weekdays. Items are shipped Monday through Friday.

Is it OK if I use your images on my website? Please feel free to use our images on your blog! If you have a regular website, however, please ask our permission first, since we take many of our own photos or have courtesy photos from others and they are under copyright protection. |
